Has anyone played any good indie games recently? Or any that you are looking forward to?

MUST play if you haven't played Celeste yet.

my housemates are making a PC/browser game together. I'm pretty excited for that!
It's going to be a kind of chasing/hide and seek team game with rounds and power-ups and stuff.
I've been helping out with some concept art occasionally and been play-testing a lot with them. I'd love to play with you guys when it's out if you're interested :D

Good call on Celeste & Hollow Knight. Both great picks.

If you're looking for another platformer there's an oldie (2013) but goodie in Guacamelee! (and sequel) & the studio is Canadian 🇨🇦
Hyper Light Drifter is like a mish-mash of Zelda & Diablo.
Hotline Miami is a fun top-down shooter that I've been meaning to get back into.
Donut County is a chill game. It's nice sometimes to play a game that isn't all "pew! pew!"
If you want a challenge there's Titan Souls. Very Link-to-the-Past look but tough. Or maybe I'm just bad at it?
Owlboy is another throwback platformer.
For an FPS there's Q.U.B.E. which is kind of like Portal-lite?
Nidhogg (and sequel) is a bonkers...fighting game? Side scrolling fighter? I don't know how to describe it but it's faced-paced pitting you against another player in a duel with your sword.
I've been meaning to pick up Noita. I really like pixel-art and this dials it up to 11.
another one that I'm going to grab when it's on sale is Afterparty. The concept is you and your buddy are in hell, and in order to escape you have to outdrink Satan.

Enjoy!

Donut County was a good, I'd recommend it! I really liked the donut hole game mechanic, it's very unique and just fun to swallow things up haha. There's enough storytelling and mini puzzles to keep it interesting, and it's pretty short so you don't have to commit a lot of time. I probably would have gotten tired of the game mechanic if it was a lot longer

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Ya it doesn't overstay it's welcome, and something about casually swallowing things up was appealing right? Have you tried Untitled Goose Game?

Yup, I was really sympathizing with BK

I just watched the trailer! :ROFLMAO: Who comes up with these ideas??
