Sony patents AR/VR smart glasses and case
Sony has a patent for smart glasses and a case that serve as an augmented reality/mixed reality/virtual reality gaming system. The patent is mostly focused on the case and less on the glasses themselves. The case has a power pack and can be used to recharge the glasses when stored (working similar to how wireless earbuds are charged in their cases).
The exterior of the case has a Playstation-esque button layout; the drawings show a touchpad but the patent says it's not limited to this, and could include joysticks or a physical D-pad. The case can also use accelerometers or gyroscopes.
