I'd say some of my go-to games are Codenames, Decrypto, and Coup.

What are some of your favorites?

Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine
Newer party games are great, but I have a special place in my heart for old school Pictionary and Charades. As a kid during the holiday season we'd get together with our huge families to play, and I remember it always the best time of the year for my siblings and I. Heck, even in 2018 with friends and their families over we played Pictionary with teams swapping in and out throughout the entire night. It helps to have a game where both adults and kids can play!

If you like Pictionary, have you tried telephone Pictionary? Definitely in my top party games. And it requires no game purchase.

The rules are:
1. Everyone gets a stack of ~4"x4" squares of paper. If there are 6 players, everyone gets 6 pieces of paper
2. Everyone writes a word/sentence on their top square of paper
3. Everyone passes their stack of paper to the person on their left
4. The person on the left reads the word/sentence, moves the piece of paper to the bottom of the stack, and on the new (blank) piece of paper draws the word/sentence
5. Everyone passes their stack of paper to the left again
6. Just like step 4, look at the drawing on the top of the stack, then on a new blank piece of paper write the word/sentence that you think the drawing represents
7. Repeat until you get your original stack of paper back.
8. Take turns sharing the journey from your original word/sentence to the final sentence or drawing.

It can be surprisingly funny to see drawings and the mistakes that are made

Codenames is definitely a big favourite of mine! Exploding kittens is also quick, easy fun. For the serious party groups I love trading 3 sheep for 1 wood in Catan
